good to know i'm not nuts.
-
Or its just plain broken, sounds more likely to me :P
-
Nice grab! Even I would have taken the chance at that price, even with the steep 38$ S&H to Canada.
Too bad I was watching hockey ... :mmph:
-
Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
Half the posters here would have rolled the dice and bought this one.
-
Even $75 is a bit much. It's just a standard model M cut in half with a different controller.
In fact, I think I'd prefer a terminal 122 Model M over a space saving one. Those are so big it makes you look awesome.
-
the ibm mini gives me blowjobs in its downtime.
-
The IBM mini was used in server rooms by the elite of the elite.
Terminals were used by the drones.
Drone or elite, I'd be ecstatic to use any piece of IBM equipment at a business or educational facility. Now they just have a bunch of stock dell and hp domey dummy domes.
Yuck!
I'm pretty elite though, mine has a silver badge. SILVER! Well it's aluminum, but if it was silver, I'd wager it would be worth more.
-
Let's order custom made silver IBM badges!
-
Silver badge like this one from ncbound?

I made a post in the "Model M Space Saver Introduction Year?" thread in the Keyboard Forum about this, but for completeness sake, thought I'd mention it hear also. With a manufacture date of 1987.5.13, as of now this seems to be the earliest known SSK, beating out MissleMike's 1987.5.29 SSK, as well as the earliest on Clickykeyboards.

That's a nice one, sure to go for quite a bit of money.
The one in the OP beats mine out for oldest SSK known- did anyone here get it?
-
Wow, n12's board is already over $200 with 6 days to go...

That's a really well made auction. The seller deserves to make out well (like a bandit from the looks of it).

202$ with 5 days left.
Going to make a new thread for it so it's easier to track.
