Hello, this is my first post. My name is Felipe Nachmanowicz (hence the username). I'm brazilian, tho I often do my shopping in the US.
So there I was, happy as a child with my $30 mouse + kb wireless set... until I decided to buy me a better mouse, and I bought me a G500. Hmm, it was nice. Then I thought "maybe I could get me a nice keyboard too, eh?". And I started researching, as I'm a quite maniac person, I researched it to death, from the Logitech's and regular Razer's to the mechanicals, the different switches...
Cherry MX Blues are too noisy for me.
So I was left with a choice: either Blacks or Browns. I like the fact that the browns are tactile, I enjoy it when there's "feedback", but I'm a bit worried of pressing keys unintentionally because they're so light. The Blacks are stiffer but they're not tactile... but I think I'd go for Brown's.
Budget: Really not willing to go over $150. I'd like to keep around $80-110
I NEED IT TO BE:
- Full length, no compact ones for me, no sir.
- Media keys.
- Standard US format, I don't even like the brazilian setup for keyboards, not used to it.
- 6KRO.
I'd like it to be illuminated, it's not really necessary but it would be a good plus.
From my research, I highlighted 3 keyboards:
XArmor U9BK-S
Zowie Celeritas
Das Keyboard Professional Silent
And I might say the XArmor is looking to make it.
Any thoughts, considerations, suggestions? Thanks a bunch!
Oh yeah, and I've been looking into that upcoming Mionix Zibal 60!

Your price range, the Zowie and SS 6GV2 are good choices. I have the 6GV2, but the blacks are so heavy. It's awesome when I'm playing Fallout 3, but I can't stand it for typing. The small R-Shift totally sucks.

Go for xarmor, it's really a good keyboard, with the great added value of backlight and and HUB..
The only minus is due to the ANSI layout, but I think this is a plus for you.

Yeah, that's what I figured, the XArmor just looked like a better bang for the buck.

You didn't really say what you were going to use the board for primarily. In my experience I much prefer the cherry black switches for fps gaming than browns or blues.

Tricky question. Tho I will type a lot more than play (RTS and FPS), the reason I'm buying it is mostly the gaming, because I dont really see my typing improving all that much.
