Title: SignaturePlastics alternatives?
Post by: HaveANiceDay on Fri, 22 April 2011, 12:06:19
SP seems to be the one stop shop for all of GH key cap needs.
But are there alternatives? Is there some other company that's able to do thicker keys, or use PBT in double shots?

I asked hngroup.dk if they can do slave labor for us. But they said key caps are not their business focus.
I also asked some chinese company, but I forgot which. I emailed them using their website form as there was no email to be found. Never got a reply, so they probably don't care.

Finally, I found another company in china today: http://www.kyhmold.com
They seem quite promising, offering double injection molding and PBT among others.

I made this topic so someone with more experience in this (like 7bit) could ask them. Maybe I'm not the businessman type of guy, so I don't want to blow our chances.

If it works out, maybe we'll have better/cheaper keycaps in the next group buy.

There should be some more in Taiwan and Japan (I guess). That is all I know.
I am not a big fan of keytops. I am just  t.y.p.e. it.
