Title: Box Check: 103U-UW Box Titled "103U"?

My Topre keyboard has the right designation but not the box.

Was there ever a box for the recently discontinued 103U-UW that said "103U-UW" on it?

Can any of you 103U-UW drivers out there please check your keyboard box (you DO keep the box, yes?) and tell me if yours also only says "103U" on it? Or do you have "103U-UW"?

In my box opening vid at 2:20 you can see my box only said 103U.

I never actually noticed it before now, but just got a glimpse of the box again today.  'Sup with that?

That's because it IS a 103U. The 103U-UW isn't actually a different keyboard. It's just old stock.

This caused a lot of confusion. EliteKeyboards is good at causing confusion.

It isn't EK necessarily causing the confusion, because they are different boards.  I get that, as far as spec is concerned, they are the "same" board.  But they are not the same board.  They are different model boards that happen to have the same spec (far as I know).  It has a different model number on the back of the board, so it is not a 103U board, but it shipped in a 103U box.



So it is a different keyboard and it is identifiable as such.  Except by the box...at least the box I have.  So my question remains, anybody with a 103U-UW have the same box as 103U or is it U-UW?

Ohh ok...weird. Thanks for clearing that up, at least.

Topre definitely has their part in causing confusion too :D

lol, nope, only when I'm unboxing a board that just cost me $300.

I thought I may have found the answer, that any board with "103U" it its model title gets the same box.  There's a 103UB owner on Flickr here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/laby2/5377616827/in/photostream/) who shows the same box for that board.

However, there's a UB box opening on Youtube here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMwaGclQ4RU) that shows "UB" on that box at 3:48.

So I guess my question remains....if you own a 103U-UW, what does your box say?
