Ok I just scored a mechanical keyboard, and I could use some advice. Mind you I am new to mech. keyboards and I did some searching but I was not very successful.
So the keyboard is a Link with what looks like Cherry Blacks. It has a phone jack connector and some specialty keys so I can't use it as is. Here are some pics.

As you can see its in pretty nasty condition. I'm sure I can clean it up, but since I can't use it as is, I was wondering if anyone has experience with these boards? If so, can I cannibalize the switches and install them on another board.
After playing around with it, I'm starting to like the blacks. I actually posted a WTB for browns/blues in a 10keyless. Any advice was be mad helpful. Thanks!

So I can do that with any keyboard that uses cherry switches? Is there anything I should know about "popping and swapping"?
