Title: help identifying compaq keyboard

Hey guys been just reading the boards for a while now but today at salvation army low and behold a beautiful condition Compaq keyboard that looks like it has white alps i posted some pics up and if any1 can tell me anything about this model would be much appricated thanks much

Sure those are alps? How is the actuation and click? White alps are very clicky. If it doesnt klick you most likely have a hammer over dome board. The peg looks way too square imo anyways.

not as clicky as my buckling spring still pretty loud in comparison to my gf rubber dome or my scissor switches

Plunger over rubber dome. Most rubber dome keyboards have the plunger as part of the key cap, but it is not uncommon that the plunger is a separate piece of plastic. Some plungers and key caps are ALPS-compatible, even.

Honestly, it looked far too square for that. But its possible that its better than other rubber domes you've used before, so as long as its working it might be worth a try.
