Yo, plain and simple.  Will these key caps work with the SS 6gv2?

Why shouldn't work ? You can have problems with the big keys and spacebar but not with single keycaps.

Yes there are compatible and they will fit. They are nearly the same profile.

They will fit. AFAIK the SS keycaps have the same key profile as the Filco.

It was just some junk forums like yahoo answers or something.  I was just Googling it.  So the keys have a different profile?  Does anyone have any pics of the two different profiles next to each other?  I would like to see how much of a difference it is.

Filco and Steelseries keycaps have the exact same height profile.

i ordered them for my old 6gv2 and they fit fine but they were a bit higher than the other keys around it.

Ok I want the 6gv2 and I want a red esc key, blue wasd keys, and maybe even all of the rest of the keys blank black.  What would be my best bet?  Is there a 6gv2 kit or something?  I want all of the keys to be the same size.

Or, here is another option, is there another keyboard with a similar price and cherry mx blacks?  That I could then get the red esc key, blue wasd, and the rest blank?

Imsto has a group buy (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?17080-lol-another-group-for-KBC-7G-keycaps) on Steelseries keycaps.
However I'm not sure whether he has a set for the 6GV2 as well.

Got the blue wasd and the red ones + ESC, they fit on my 7G.
