Title: IBM SSK 1393691, missing keycaps
Post by: MissileMike on Fri, 29 April 2011, 22:17:30
This is about as poor of an ssk example as you will see, but I bet it still goes for a lot.

The remaining caps look a little different.  Maybe someone has some insight?

I thought SSK come with single stem keys instead of the normal Caps+Stem

I would think that it's the same as any other model m. The more old ones have two piece keycaps, and newer ones have single caps. This thing has an '88 manufacture date.

This one seems to have a little different keycaps than usual model m, which has no green words in A~Z caps. Is this a special model or just because it is an old one?

You know, one day, I'll find one of these things on ebay, bid on it, and NOT have it show up here. At least, I can hope...

I'm still convinced this is what drives the prices so damn high.

It certainly is easier to look on here than comb ebay. Especially when the seller does it wrong.

Yeah these sub-forums are a blessing and a curse at the same time. I spend quite a lot of time on a UK superbike forum and people tend to get very upset when you post something on there they are hoping to buy!

Like you wouldn't believe. Minus the meme culture, that seems to be a speciality of GH.

Somewhere in the vast Internet universe, there is a lego forum where Ripster posts keyboard pics.
