Looking at the 1008, so its pretty much their "entry" level board. From what ive worked out some people have issues with the quality of the print on the keycap, the connector for the usb can wear out, and they had casing/gapping issues on the first batch.
Anyone have any input? Im not looking for filco quality at 85$ shipped, but im not quite looking to waste money either.

I thought we tried to warn people at some point or another...
At DeskThority the mods call this "FUD".

From ordering oversea point of view, I would go for something that has the least risk of quality issues.

$85 shipped is a good deal for any Mechanical. What I do at DealExtreme is buy two Cree flashlights and just assume one won't work. To date it's 2/3 worked so I'm ahead.
This btw isn't going well at OCN.... (http://www.overclock.net/keyboards/1002807-problem-my-ducky.html)
What an honor haha; my experience has been bad with the rubber feet, cherry stabilizers, and the detachable cable, but I can't speak for everyone.

Ducky is nice and all but when it comes to QC, Filco still reigns supreme.

Sweet thanks for the pic. The casing seems to have issues. As long as the pcb/plate is cut appropriately and there arent inconsistencies between the gaps between keys id be pretty happy.

I got a 9008 from pchome a while back.
I had issues with the spacebar registering double presses. Fixed this by resoldering the join.
It then developed issues with the S key doing the same thing. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'll fix them when I resolder the join...
Quality-wise, I would say they feel like a cut above the old logitech/microsoft type ordeal, but they aren't quite as heavy and robust as some of the older mechanical boards I've used (Model M, Apple Extended II etc), or is the build quite as good as the Razer BlackWidow I use at home (although to be fair it's not much worse).
Overall, I'm not entirely happy, but having said that, I'm not entirely displeased either. If they had better QC, they would be very awesome.

Well not all of OCN is black and from the hood mind you :p
