Title: PS/2 adapter not working?
Post by: kohan69 on Sat, 30 April 2011, 17:27:51
Hello, I got a scorpius m10 RMAed, and it doesnt seem to be working inthe PS/2 port using a PS/2 adapter from a FILCO keyboard.

Can the adapters from the scorpius (didnt get the adapter back from rma, only keyboard) and filco be different?

please advise!

I'm not familiar with scorpius m10, but, just to make sure... did you shutdown your computer before connecting to the PS/2 port?

I've seen lightning bolts shooting out from PS/2 ports, definitely not plug-n-play

PS/2 worked with this very same keyboard, in this very same motherboard.
The only difference is it was the scorpius dongle, which they did not send back to me with the RMA, so I tried using the one with my filco keyboard - and it doesnt seem to work.

aren't all purple dongles the same?

For some reason.. my computer can read PS2 without restarting...
Maybe it's just how mainboard is made.. made to read PS2 not requiring to restart.. new technology...
Maybe I should just restart the computer though...
but it works... :)
