Don't bother with the bottom two deals. These make great replacement keycaps for noppoo choco minis (except capslock, ctrl and alt)
-
What's wrong with the bottom two deals?

I would assume the price.

Nothing it seems like, unless you want to pay more.

I see, I thought maybe those boards weren't MX compatible and were mistakingly put there. Is there any equivalent white double shot key caps or boards you can rip them from? I wanted to do a checkerboard thing and would be weird to have the black keys be doubleshot and the others not.

$70 shipped though so it's expensive and they're shipping is slow as fuuuu. It's been almost two weeks and I still haven't received it nor did I get any tracking #.
BUT it's the win-keyless version so ctrl and alt do fit (slightly smaller than the noppoo ones though). You'll need to source a spacebar and capslock elsewhere.
And as we all know beige/white color scheme is more sexy and leet than black. :P

I received one of these yesterday! A G81-7910HPBUS. Will post pics later when I get chance. (Finals week coming up... bleh!~)

Here's a quick shot, then gotta get back to studying.

G81-1800 have white versions. For double shot, you need to make sure the letter code begins with H (e.g. HPBUS, HLREU, etc.)

Man, that's a bit expensive for just the caps but I guess you gotta pay for quality. :-)
If anything I'm planning on putting double shots on my Leopold blue as I'm really really liking the feel of the Noppoo keys. Love the texture, the low profile, and the sharp edges. I think they're way better than the keys that came with the Leopold. And now that I have the keyboard in hand, I think the faded printing actually looks nice on it, comes across much better than it does in pictures.
What I want to do eventually is create a double shot checkerboard deal on my Leopold blue and use that as my daily driver but that's looking to be an expensive proposition, probably costing around $130 for both the white and black sets. For that price I could get another keyboard so that makes it hard for me to justify. I might just start with the black set and then eventually add the white later on to eventually get my "dream" keyboard.

very tempted to get one of those. but the spousal unit might be a little unhappy if another keyboard arrives in the mail now :p guess I'll have to poke around ebay in a few weeks and hope to still get a good deal
-
Is the right shift key the only one that won't fit properly on a Leopold?

Son of a *****, someone bought the last three... http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&_trksid=p4340.l2564&item=120538753526&guest=1

Yes, Cherry MY switches... completely disgusting to type on. Most regular membranes feel better. Only good for harvesting keycaps :)
-
The guy relisted the boards and I went for a set of keycaps. Unfortunately I had to pay $45 for postage because he setup 'immediate payment'. Still waiting for a refund for excess postage and hope he doesn't screw me...
UDATE: still no reply from the seller. Just received a notification that my item was shipped. I asked specifically for a set of keycaps twice. Anyone here from Gloucester VA? :P
-
Well, I got the caps, everything turned out for the best. I really like these brand new double-shots :)
-
Sorry for reviving an old thread. Thanks for the links. The seller on the third link is still selling these at $30 each plus shipping. I ordered 2 of them. Now I need some white/beige double-shots. :D
-
Thanks for the heads up.
I ended up picking one.

Warning! Do not buy from this third seller from the OP.

I received my 2 keyboards today. They are supposed to be new. Both of them look like used, with scratches on both of them. One of them has shiny, obviously used keycaps. The other's key caps look fine though. There is no packaging to speak of besides the original boxes the keyboards came in with. I sent a message to the seller. I hope he will send me a new one. Otherwise I have no idea if ebay's buyers protection would help me in this case.
*bite-lip* BUCK!

Damn, that sucks. Sorry deal turned sour, hopefully you can get it all worked out.

I actually bought two from this buyer as well. Both were packed rather poorly. The first one did seem NIB or close to barely used. I was satisfied with this one.
The second one was worse. A box just big enough to fit the keyboard in, with the keyboard wrapped in plastic. That's it. All key caps seemed new except the numpad which definitely were shiny.
But since I only get these for the keycaps for my tenkeyless it didn't bother me that much so I didn't really care.
-
Just checked my package after seeing the previous posts as I bought from the same guy as well.
Mine looks new. Came in some type of pink plastic wrap and transparent cellophane
-
The good news is the seller agrees to take the used keyboard back and give me full refund of one keyboard (I am keeping the other one, the good one). The bad news is I am still out and extra $10 to ship the damn thing back.
-
You can try negotiating the return the keyboard back part. Normally I can get them to let me not deal with that especially when it's clear the guy was lying.
Right, I didn't think of that. Too late now. I already sent the keyboard back. So basically I paid $55 for one that is kind of new (caps look to be unused for the one I kept).
To be honest I don't think the seller lied. I think the seller got them the way they were. They never opened them up to check that they are really new. Hind sight, the tell tale sign on the picture is that the keyboards didn't come with their original box, so it isn't really new as the seller claimed. They are just some barely used, old keyboards (with some heavily used mixed) and repackaged nicely. Other NIB listings on ebay *ususally* have a picture of the original box as well.
Oh well, return shipping for a lesson learned.
