Title: G5 Rev. 2 locks up in TF2

Logitech G5 Rev. 2, under warranty

I've been playing TF2 a lot lately and I still notice the same problem as before. The mouse occasionaly freezes for 2-3 seconds then everything goes on like nothing happened. Interestingly this problem only occurs in Team Fortress 2. Couldn't repeat this in Portal despite playing through all 19 levels. It also behaves normally under Windows (XP SP3).

Any ideas?

maybe try lowering your graphics settings?
I've experienced similar things in some other games. when frame rate has falls very low the mouse will start warping or stop responding for brief moments.
other thing is slowdowns caused by lag in network games.

Lag in my case usually does not cause mouse lockups as such but rather freezing of the game and stuttering. In my case I can still move around with the keyboard just can't move the crosshairs :)

Could it maybe be a button you're pressing that causes it? When I hold alt (my vent PTT) it won't let me move my mouse on TF2. Maybe some setting for the mouse is ticked.

Have you tried other mice?

Any chance you could try the mouse on a different computer with TF2 installed?
