Has anyone tried plugging a G84-4100xPxxx via a passive PS/2 to USB adapter? I've read it should support it, but I lack this kind of adapter and cannot try. Or it could be a misinformation.
EDIT: Solved. The xPxxx most likely don't support this. The xCxxx models do.

Unicomp was never advertised as a dualie, AFAIR.
Ok, I found where I read about the G84-4100. And the mystery is solved, thanks to The Keyboard Company!
It's the xCxxx model (the combo PS/2+USB) that support this. They, like the other dualies, sport USB connector and include USB-to-PS/2 passive adapter.
The xPxxx models are PS/2 only. They need active converter.

Thanks, Ripster. You were helpful in an unexpected way.

In the white rounded thingy in the lower right, by default or if you pass the cursor over the "Connection: Combi USB & PS/2" field.
Cherry info also hints in this direction.
Don't know about the color, though. I have purple and green passive USB-to-PS/2 dongles.
