Title: Keyboard from Gattaca
Post by: elitebear on Thu, 05 May 2011, 21:37:27
Does anyone recognize the keyboard switches at about 5:00 in

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmPvHffFxFY

I always love watching this scene because of the gentle hum of the typing. I only recently purchased a Leopold Cherry Brown board but I wouldn't mind purchasing another keyboard if it sounds similar to the ones in this movie

How long have Topre boards been around?  I'm thinking that Gattica came out before Topre did.

The Gattaca guys are noobs.

In "Space 1999" doctor Helen Russell (Barbara Bain) used an Olivetti lettera 32 typewriter, but it was yellow, not green.
