I'm still waiting for my lite 2 keyboard, but would like to
learn if someone uses it via ps/2 adapter. I have unix on
my desktop and it prefers it over usb. Is that usage
transparent or lacks something? The manufacturer dis-
courages ps/2 on their wiki page.
Best regards.

I have the HHKB Lite 2 but no easy access to a PC with PS/2. I think it will work fine with the PS/2 adapter.

I don't think he's planning to play games on the HHKB lite. Are you, Willi? I think he just wants to make sure that it will work with the PS/2 adapter.
-
True... Willi, just plug it in. Either one will work. Just stick it into any hole that will fit

Why worry? It won't be any faster.
Because two choices are always better than one, and because ps2 is a lifesaver.

Correct.
During boot process, freebsd has a choice to change option if interrupted.
Not possible with usb keyboard. Ps/2 one is the way to go.
I found ps/2 adapter to use with kb when it arrives. At the moment I'm not
after more than one key at the time.
For some reason the product is not delivered yet. And yes, I would buy
pro2 if it'd be inside my budget plan borders.
Best regards all.

I'm not so sure from the product description (http://pfuca-store.stores.yahoo.net/haphackeylit1.html) that the purple dongle will work.
Just as my concern!
I got green adapter. The link you have has no products to sell. I've took
another approach, but it takes time.
The very manufacturer has wiki page. On that page they say something
like this:
"[HHKB Lite2(USB)]We do not recommend any conversion from USB. Please do it by your responsibility. We can't gurantee it at all."
If it does not work over ps/2, I will recompile the kernel and include usb
stack. Just, some things would not work during boot.
Thanks for reply.
