I own a Compaq MX11800 that I absolutely love. Unfortunately it did not come with any mounting rails. Any ideas for a compatible sliding solution for a standard 19" server rack? I bought a generic drawer on *BAY but it proved to be just a tad too small. Anyone have a solution including if you own (but do not use) the original rails and would like to sell them to me. Thanks.

Too small in what direction ?
Do you mean 1U tray is not enough ?
There are 2U trays like this (http://cableorganizer.com/computer-cabinets/great-lakes/monitor-keyboard-mouse-shelf.html), which is expensive, but I'm sure than something less expensive will be not too hard to find.

The keyboard is 16-1/4" wide x 7-1/2" deep while the cavity of the tray I got is 15-7/8" x 7-1/2" so the width is about 3/8" off and the depth is a close fit. The seller advertised the wrong dimensions.

So this one should fit your requirements http://www.mountsandmore.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=DF1785
If the specs are correct, obviously.

Well, I'd get my money back in that case. It isn't that it turns out to not be what you needed. It turned out that it was wrong to begin with.

Thanks guys. He somehow sent the outer dimensions. Anyway, I will either get the one Solutor suggests or perform keyboard surgery with a hacksaw and some silicone.

Rather then hack up the keyboard, could you hack up the tray? Maybe mount the keyboard straight to the rails and ditch the tray part?
