can anyone enlighten me on where can i get this board. my top priority is the filco tenkeyless blue.

There's leopold near yongsan station. #1 being yongsan station exit and #4 being shin-yongsan station exit.
http://leopold.co.kr/?doc=cart/leopold_map.php
#4 shin-yongsan station is where you want to go. If you're taking the sub get off at shin-yongsan (translated to new-yongsan :P) and get out through exit #5.
The red building is where Leopold is located. Yongsung bistel(?) building #1602 located on 16th floor.
I've never been there so that's where there I assume their HQ/store is located.

http://www.iomania.co.kr/
http://www.leopold.co.kr
these two stores are both placed in YongSan as far as I am concerned.
They are two of the biggest websites for mechanical keyboards.
If you can visit them in YongSan, you can try out all the keyboards on site.
-
sure i will check it out on mon and update you guys again..
btw brkim1324 seems like iomania build is in ilsan not yongsan based on the web.

my bad :) but leopolds at yongsan thou!
So bkim - have you BEEN to their Retail Store? They have models you can try? Or is it just a web store like Amazon?
Most of the Yongsan stores are independent stores. Except the real huge department stores, most of them just own small office space for display. When you want to buy
something they take out the products you want from the back. Leopold's same like that.
But most of the keyboards you want are on the front. The owner is kind and he lets you type anything you want.
So yes, you could say it's online store.
One time I was trying out Realforce, and he was watching me and said, "You won't know how good the keyboard is just by tapping on it. Especially Topre".
And he's right :)
-
Oh iomania moved from Yongsan to Ilsan :(
I don't know when they moved but they were at Yongsan before :)
-
Do you hang around at OTD and KBDMania?
I hang around at KBDmania.
Although the internet is SOO slow from NY...
I am going Korea soon, so I will visit GH from Korea from next week XD

Thanks, I'll add that you can try the keyboards in-store if you ask to the WW Shopping Wiki.

It would be nice to have a representative OTHER than Hamblet. He tends to go off in rants sometimes. Assuming he is the same guy here that went on a EPIC nsfw rant at KBDthorThemovie.org. (http://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=680)
Don't feed the troll. He's been banned there for a reason.

Yes! Some more pictures of the store and the keyboards would be sweet. It makes me want to actually plan a trip ^_^
-
sorry guys cant take pic inside cause its not really a shop, its an office space
what u will see inside is tables for their staff and 1 table for you to try out the boards.
-
Maybe this is a stupid question, but do the people around there know english? If I were to walk in and say "I want to try a Filco Ninja Tenkeyless with Brown Cherry switches," would they understand, or look at me funny?

haha,, Look so fun in Korea. I think they might understand what you are talking about, but you should know they're not really good at speaking in English..
Don't forget this,,, you don't need to say a sentence, because they hardly understand. you might say a WORD, like as " Filco, Ninja, tenkeyless, brown switch." I'm sure they know what you want exactly. Anyway I wish be there. Yes I'm Korean, but live in NZ.
-
I am in Korea currently. Looks like I'd be staying here for at least couple of years.
Besides.. I am Korean XD.
I purchased and tried several more keyboards. I did purchase cherry compact blue. And several... non mechanical keyboards such as irock apple clone keyboard.
It just looks EXACTLY the same but with cheaper price. It's just more friendly to windows users like me so I am satisfied :) The silver tone is refreshing sometimes.
(All my mech keys are black... and membranes too...)
There's a store called PCGear in Korea where you can try almost all of the mechanical keyboards and topres. I didn't visit there yet since I've been busy, but I might go there some time.
Upload some keyboard fetish pics for you guys...
Good to hear you had some fun in Korea :D

Hey, I'm trying to go to Seoul for the winter holidays. I'd like to visit a couple of shops with mechanicals. Do they generally show accessories as well (keys, bags, etc.) ? I'd like to visit PCGear and maybe another shop or two you could recommend, as long as they are accessible by train from Seoul.

Does anyone know if this store is still present in Seoul? I'm trying to find the location of a keyboard store that I could
try out a bunch of boards somewhere in Seoul.
I saw someone mention above this was a Leopold store, but another person said they are no longer located here. :(
