It's like seeing a mistreated dog in the pound - someone rescue it.  I'm sure she'll approve of the space saving surgery.

Typing on this super deal M13 now. Works with a $7 USB/PS2 y-splitter.

It's buckling spring with custom two-color legends on one-piece key caps. Legends for F13 through F24 appear on the F1-12 keys, and I'm particularly fond of the Zoom and Rule legends. How many people have a Model M with a Zoom key or one that Rules? I wonder what software category the special legends were for?

Needs cleaning as well as some possible TLC to [strike]spacebar and[/strike] T key, which seem slightly finickey for a buckling spring board. In addition to the normal controller board beneath the steel plate, there's a large chip on the LED board, which bears exploration.

The TrackPoint is good, perhaps a small bit less stiff than my previous M13 TrackPoint. A modern square-hole Trackpoint cover is loose on the round stick, unfortunately. I might have to use tissue or a PostIt note fragment to tighten things up. The right and left click buttons are Mylar domes instead of micro-switches, a disappointment because they provide less tactile feedback, need more force to press.

Since I have a 1337 black M13, this one is destined to be Project X, as I hoped: the first M13 Space Saving Keyboard. This purchase is a WIN.
