Hi there.
I've just bought a Matias Tactile Pro keyboard on eBay UK. At first I jumped the gun and thought it was a version 3, however the seller has emailed me to say that the model number is SMK-POWER989, which means it's an original Tactile Pro.
I should have assumed this since the seller was only asking for about £20 (!).
Although I've not yet got the keyboard, I'm not sure if I should still get the version 3 of the keyboard (and sell this original), as I'm assuming the version 3 is better quality - with improved ALPS keyswitches. I like my keyboards loud, and I'm anxious that the original Tactile Pro uses different ALPS to those on version 3, which I like the noise of.
Can someone confirm whether I'm being paranoid and that the original is actually LOUD :)
Cheers.
Jas.

No idea. I can tell you that all of them are going to be simplified alps. I was pretty sure some of the biggest problems with the first version was the kick legs and a few other things like that.

I have the original. I hear it is better than version 2 but not as good as 3.
My experience it is very loud and tactile so you might not be disappointed.

Ah it might have been the second one I was thinking of.

Hi there.
I found this link
http://www.mrinterface.com/reviews/Keyboard%20%3A%20Matias%20Tactile%20Pro%201 (http://www.mrinterface.com/reviews/Keyboard%20%3A%20Matias%20Tactile%20Pro%201)
which review the Matias Tactile Pro version 1. Sounds like a nice bit of kit. Since it's very hard to tell the difference between each version of the keyboard, even though there are a few videos on the web, I don't know which version of the keyboard is being shown.
But, it sounds like this could be a good one. If not, then version 3 is always an option.
Cheers guys.
