I noticed at Best Buy the other day that they are carrying an IME 3.0 that's more of a cream color than the (new) standard dark gray.
Has anybody tried this model? Did they fix the god awful side buttons or scroll wheel ?

It's the legends edition and it's the same ****. Just has a glossy coating some say it's different it's not. It's just to grab more money by selling it a bit higher price in some cases.
The only way that mouse will ever be good is if someone were to custom build their own with higher quality plastics and use a better scroll wheel.

It's a shame, too. That mouse is probably the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, and it's got a hell of a sensor to boot.

Yep. The only thing that seems slightly better is the side buttons since they're rubberized now. Same ole faulty scroll encoder :[

This fixed the scrollwheel for me.
