not terribly geeky, but I want to play my playstation2 again. Lots of good single player games I never really spent any time with.
Now I just need to figure out if there is a way to hook it up to the vga port on my display or if I need to buy a small flat tv to mount next to my desk.

yeah, the wife usually plays on the PS3 in the living room. I want to play old games at my desk on one of the PS2's we have lying around. found a cheap 10" lcd tv on amazon, I think that will work out decently. I'll sleep over it and likely put in an order tomorrow.

Why not use one of the PS2 emulators for PC. Some games run pretty good and can be upscaled to the resolution of your monitor. Doesn't work 100% but most seem to run them with few issues.

Wait, what? There's more than just PCSX2 (http://pcsx2.net/)?

because I already have most of the required hardware lying around and would prefer my main PC display to be reserved for PC stuffs :D

I played FFXII on PCSX2. Pretty sick graphics.
