Title: Opera jumbles up stuff
Post by: vun on Fri, 20 May 2011, 08:54:36

I often see this when going to GH. Not sure if it's just GH or the forum system, but I seem to remember another forum also going a bit mumbo jumbo on me. Don't have too much info on it as I don't go to a lot of forums.
This only happens on my desktop, haven't seen this on the laptop, at least not yet.
Opera on 64-bit W7.

Also, a smaller less annoying problem;
Facebook's mobile site looks different on Opera Mobile than it does on Android's own internet browser now, but at first it looked the same on both. Is this Opera's doing or did Facebook do a couple of changes when they removed the touch site?

I always used opera here and never saw any problem.

BTW I'm using the black and orange theme, maybe this makes the difference ?

Nah, it does it with all the themes. Whenever I change theme everything goes back to normal for a while though. Lately it's gone back to normal all by itself, I don't really know what's going on. Considering just going back to FF, but that feels so messy now for some reason.

Try to set opera to clear the cache whenever you close it

Might help, cleared the cache earlier today and so far everything's been working fine, not a single sign of mumble jumble.

I always give Opera a shot whenever they get new version out the cage. Not yet a keeper tho, as it renders certain things a bit off.

Not sure I'd blame Opera -- they've always scored pretty well on Acid3 (however you interpret that).  I think it's more that most web devs code for FF/IE due to market share.  But IANAPWD (prof web dev) so this is my speculation.

I'm an Opera fanboy though, so I just had to say that :D

And no!  It's not Overstock.com and it's not Oprah!
