Excellent, welcome to geekhack!

Just so everyone is on notice, I don't think this will work on a PC without modifying the controller.  (i.e., DIN-10 to PS/2 adapter won't work.)  Maybe someone with more knowledge can enlighten me?

I was eyeing these for a bit. They will for sure not work with a PC. The blue text doubleshots are amazing though.

if I don't have enough to put on my Filco, it will go on my Poker.

I know for sure there are enough keys for my Poker, The modifiers won't work, but I have extra from Group Buy 3

Its plate mounted so you'll have to desolder.

PCB switches allow you to pop off the top of the switch to get the stems off. The bases are the same on all cherry mx switches.

Most prefer the feel of plate mounted but they are harder to mod.

I still want one of these Wyse boards. They look sweet.

Ah, I get it.  Thanks for the explanation.  Since the Wyse is not usable on PCs, I will like desolder all the switches and save them for later.  I will keep the keycaps and junk then rest of it then :D

yes they are nice doubleshots. i got a wy60 for $10 shipped and stole its doubleshots of alpha numerics, the fkeys and arrows and put on my leopold. none of the other keys fit properly for ansi layout. well a couple modifiers would fit, but in the wrong row with the wrong legend. they seem heavier than the stock keys, and have a better feeling to them in my opinion. i also really like whatever the font is. looks more 'modern' than many on the alpha numerics. the modifiers have a different font though, which reminds me of the crayola logo.

noodles, have you received your board yet?  I still haven't.  Should be here next week though.  I think I am going to put the blacks onto one of my 2 Das 2 keyboards.  The Das 2 is not plate-mounted, so I should be able to just swap the switch guts, after I desolder the black switches from the Wyse.

I ordered this board and another WYSE board from the same seller.  The pictures on this board looked like 2-shot keys and the picture on the other WYSE board I ordered looked like dye-sublimated keys.

However, when they both showed up this board had the dye-sublimated keys and the other had the 2-shot keys on them.  I sent the seller a message asking if he possibly had the pictures of the keys mixed up but I haven't heard back from him.  I hope you guys don't have the same issue and all get 2-shot keys on your boards.  The 2-shots ARE sweet.

Shipping did seem to take forever.

on a leopold i find them to be 1mm - 1.5mm lower than the stock keycaps, depending on row. they have a similar height to cherry corp keys, but the profile is slightly different to those as well. wyse keys seem to have a little more of an angle to them. after using them for a few weeks i still prefer the feel of them, but am starting to get annoyed by the profile difference. especially on left shift and tab, as i tend to jam my pinky into the side of the key when i don't raise my finger high enough.
the ones the_buff received look also almost twice as thick as what i received. the blue / yellow does not extend up the side walls on mine.

Black huh?  Yeah mine is that dark blue as seen in the pictures.  Even the dye-sub version I got was dark blue.

The keys are not as tall as filco keys (I'm assuming filco's are the same height as the rosewill's keys).  I don't have any cherry's to compare them to, but they look similar to the color KBC PBT keys I got recently.

One particular annoyance I've found--you can see in the upside down key (0 key on the numpad), those ridges that go across the key actually prevent the white key stabilizer from going all the way in.  I would have to cut the white key stabilizer to get it in flush.  I haven't tried because I don't have any spares.  Anyone know where I can buy those white stabilizers?

Awesome mini chart!  Your one picture is more effective than my seven pictures.  Bravo.

So the letters associated with the keys would be at the end of the product number?  (e.g., 840358-01K.)

The two keys on the right are actually 2-Shot keys?  Could someone show me the bottom of a dye-sub key because for some reason I thought they would look like the two keys furthest right in your chart.  Which would mean that both sets of WYSE keys I got were 2-shot.

Also, do all six keys on your chart use the same font?  Are there profiles all the same?

kps have you put together any other fancy little key charts?  Ever thought about putting together a chart for keys of all the various mechanical keyboards?  Would be amazing--I'd buy it poster size and hang it on my wall if you did.  :)

Sorry, I didn't make that clear. The letters identify the keycaps, so the bottom row shows the K and L keys from one keyboard (840358-01) and the K key from the other (840358-13).

They are. A dye-sub key would show only a single colour from the back.

The profiles are the same between keyboards (but different between different rows, of course). I'll have to check the fonts later.

Interesting idea. Maybe I'll try something like that once I get my good camera set up again, if only to encourage demand for better quality keycaps. Pre-PC keyboards often had wonderful heavy double-shot spherical keycaps... and terrible switches.

Ah ha, speaking of--why doesn't geekhack have a real wiki cms?  FACT--If I can get MediaWiki up and running then anyone can.

Geekhack, seems to be, the english speaking keyboard information center, but that needs to be cemented with a vast wiki of keyboard knowledge.

Likewise, for the older heavy kinds only. I assume it's UV yellowing, since the inside is not affected.

I also just tried Oxyclean on the keycaps and it is still the same.  Most be old age.  Also, I got a 45-watt desoldering iron from Radio Shack tonight and removed all the black switches.  It took about an hour.  Next I will turn my Das II's blue switches into MX black and then put the double shots onto the Das II.  :bounce:

Come on...do it.  One of my sets is yellowed and I was wondering if retrobrite will take care of it.  I'd try it myself, but I won't have the time right now and won't until sometime in August.

I also want to turn one of these WYSE keyboards into a ps/2 keyboard with the aikon controller, but that will have to wait until this fall too.

Yuck!  Put the Wyse keys on the White Filco just to get a feel of double shots.  They feel good, just don't look at them.  I think the F keys and the arrow keys are OK.

For some reason the X and C keys are not discolored as much.

Check out my retr0brite result on these yellow keys, here: http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?19644-Dang...-peroxide-DOES-burn&p=377779&viewfull=1#post377779

Almost end of day of day 2.  Here is another picture of the current result.  The  wide keys 0 (zero) and Ctrl were never in the solution, and are the controls.  W, P, C, F14, F16 were in the solution for over 24 hours straight.  W, P, C are obviously much lighter than the yellow zero key.  The grey keys' result is not as obvious, but you can tell F14 and F16 are both losing their previous yellow tint, comparing to the Ctrl key.

The picture below was taken right after I cleaned the keys and put them on to a Filco.  WB may not be right on that picture (taken with an iphone), but you can see the C and X keys were lighter for some reason at that time.  Comparing to the new picture, W and P have almost caught up with C.

This has been a success.  I will keep them in the solution for another day to see how much lighter can they get, and if other keys can be at the same color as the C and X keys.
