Not sure how often these are normally up, but thought I would share. I searched this subforum and it didn't seem like a repost.

$25 more for a new, why buy a refurb'd when you're already investing money on a kb?

For the same reason some people buy used, I guess. Plus I think this is close to what the price would be with the student discount.

One problem is that if the refurbished one that worse than a new one or not. Sometimes the refurbished one looks like brand new just because someone bought it and return it without much use. But another problem is that the student discount can't be applied to the refurbished, and hence this price is no good for people who are valid for student discount. Probably those who don't have student discount can take a look of this.

Really!? Last time I sent an email to Das, and they said no student discount for refurbished. It seems that I need to update my information. Thank you for pointing out this!
