I'm assuming this is a work issue...
Why do you have to type it? Unless you're paid a bonus depending on your keystroke count I'd say eventually you'll just work yourself into some sort of upper limb disorder with the stress. Usually, no-one will care how it's done, so why do it the hard way?
If you're typing the same paragraphs over and over - store them in word doc or a text file and just copy and paste. Keep the file organised. Keep adding to it.
If you are using word then investigate autotext and templates.
Texter (http://lifehacker.com/238306/lifehacker-code-texter-windows) will help you reduce your typing 'costs' very quickly. You simply type in a trigger - thxe- could produce "Thank you for your email dated ". kr- could trigger "Kind regards". d- could trigger today's date. Little savings will add up quickly. Texter is free - which is nice. It's better than word's autotext for this sort of thing.
Once you've made yourself a bit of breathing space, have a look at macro express or autohotkey. I use macro express to set up function stubs - I just type the function name into a dialog box - so in about a second I've just 'typed' over 500 characters.
The time it takes to setup these things may be a pain when you start, but it's totally worth it. Start small so you see the results quickly and use the time you save to setup more. You'll also start to have a bit more control over how you do your work, it really helps your mood.
If your first thought is "but I type different stuff each day" - I understand - but look again at texter...

I'm a word processor and my job is to type data all day at a high rate of production. So looking for tips, assists, helps, etc. What is a chorded keyboard exactly?

Chorded keyboards are what court stenographers use (wiki here) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stenotype) they can achieve 375wpm.

Great tips and information! I use word and content is usually different but I will definitely look at texter. Thanks so much.

It's actually not bad.
