But then, 90% of the Group Buy posts in this subforum end up this way so who am I to talk.
in the usa they (coffeeshops) really sell coffee there I assume.Very common misconception.

i still don't get it. There is no signature plastics equivalent for topre keycaps. You have to order from topre directly, and they won't do 20 keycaps for a few dollars.

Anyhoo Signature Plastics gave some lame excuse for why they couldn't do Topre. Something about $50,000 metal molds IIRC.

I've a couple of the ilovex model. Will put up a review soon. Only got a chance to use it recently. haven't had the time and i've been testing other boards. it's really quite an awesome keyboard. And looks a LOT better in person (in keyboard, whichever). The caps themselves are sub-dyed (Rigs, do not even bother to argue about this with me. So damn sick of your mannerisms, it's not even funny.) but they feel very very different. I do not know how to explain it. It's like they have a rubber coating on it. They feel really good. i'm not sure if this is how RF caps are gonna be from now on til i get my cap sets from Japan. But if this is how the new sets of caps are gonna feel. They are worth every penny. The board itself is variable. No DIP switches and the lights are blue. It is also screw-less from what I can tell. Anyway, here's a pic. More details later on. Cheers.

No offense to anyone, but I don't want Japanese characters on my ANSI keyboard. :) I speak/type English only (with the occasional "French" expletive thrown in). I think some of the colors for those sets look nice (the orange is pretty sweet) but I probably wouldn't partake in the group buy if it's for the JIL key caps. How do they manage with such a small space bar?

HaveANiceDay and Ripster have both stated more than once that the correct thing to do is to find a Topre keycap manufacturer, and Ripster even suggested posting to Japanese forums, but it seems no one is willing to do the work of tracking someone down. For what it's worth, I'm interested in custom Topre keycaps as well, it's just from reading this thread, it doesn't look like it will happen.

Hey Cactux, something appears wrong in those sets. You might want to ask Bambi for clarification.
In the normal configuration there is a wide (2X?) CapsLock next to the "A", and a smaller (1.5X?) Ctrl next to the Windows key. But Topre provides alternate keycaps for when you choose to swap the Ctrl and CapsLock: they provide the wide Ctrl for next to the A, and the smaller CapsLock to go next to the Windows key.
But in the pictures above, there are TWO wide CapsLock, one with backlite and one without, and TWO narrow Ctrl, one with backlite and one without.
I expect that the set really should have a wide and narrow CapsLock (both with backlight), and wide and narrow Ctrl (both without backlight).
So my question is: is that really how the sets are provided? Or did the photographer make a mistake when setting up the "model" for the picture?
I still want one set of yellow lettered, regardless of what the answer is. But this might be important to some people.

All keycap are compatible but we can not use spacebar on Realforce 86 or Realforce 103.

^ If it's anything like on HHKB then it should be fairly straight forward. I switched from black to white ones by myself for the first time without any incident (a whole set).

Anyone can confirm this? Do they really feel different?
If Topre changes the texture when they add different dyes then $150 was too much for these keys.
I mean THAT'S bad quality control.
Ripster - sprue marks are VERY well hidden. Can't see them from any angle on keys that are installed, had to open the box and look. The keys feel VERY similar to stock Topre keys. Since mine are essentially brand new I could do an easy side by side comparison and have trouble telling the difference. Would actually say its about the same. Now we just need to do a group buy for 103 key spacebars. I think a white one would look great on this board.
Also, I'm REALLY loving this board now that I can read the keys and it looks so beautiful now. Thanks again cactux, really made my day.
Does this mean the spacebar on the set does not fit Realforce 103s?:S

It's the shorter type...it only fits 87U, 104U, etc.
