Title: F-J nubs no more : I feel so lost
Post by: Mazora on Fri, 03 June 2011, 17:59:24
replaced the filco majestouch keycaps with dye sub keycaps (NCR board, bought from ricercar) and those do not have nubs on the F & J keys.

As any touch typist, I do not look at the keyboard. I feel so lost without the feel of the nubs, it plays with my brain ...

anyone ever experienced this kind of problem?

G80 did feel bit strange...

Still, where do you need dye-subs, if you are touch-typist?

Because when I look at the board it makes me super happy as I find it more beautiful everyday :P

Hmm, mod them? Add some clue, melt a bit or something else which gets the near same feeling?

You could make some nubs by trimming off a tiny piece of plastic from underneath the cap and glue it on top?  Doesn't need to be very big for your fingers to feel them.
