Title: Ipad2 with Happy hacking keyboard 2?

Hey all. Long time no see.

I'm looking at getting an iPad 2. I was wondering if there is a way to get my HHKB2 to work with it.
I saw it done with the first iPad using the camera adapter. Can this still be done?

I should buy some AAPL stock myself, I don't think its likely they will go down any time soon: any new product range they start, its a success.

Thanks guys. So we are going with a 'yes' it should work. But does anyone know for sure? I read something about the latest OS killing this trick with the camera adapter. Can anyone try it to be sure?

It doesn't work.   It used to work with the old 3.2 firmware, but not anymore... in fact, most if not all, USB keyboard stopped working with the ipad + camera adapter.

I am running 4.3.3 on my ipad1 and it works for me.  It will always say the USB device is not compatible with the camera adapter.  Just tap OK.  Then go to a text and type away.  It did stop working once for whatever random reason.  but a reboot of the device make it work again.

I laughed when I first saw the iPad, just because I had a similar sized (and way more featured) tablet since 2003.

We all laughed, but the only ones laughing now are AAPL shareholders! I can't believe there are STILL people lining up in some Apple stores at 5am.

I think that things can only getting worse.

Nice to see that, for now, a USB keyboard works with the camera adapter.  Thanks for the video, noodles256.

Now I am wondering, if there is a way to have your iPad charging while using a USB keyboard.  Maybe there is some sort of dock that serves as a USB hub?  Perhaps one could modify Apple's iPad keyboard (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC533LL/B?fnode=MTc0MjU4OTY&mco=MTg1ODMxNjI) (which does charge your iPad while it's plugged in)?

Just tried this with hhkbpro2 and an ipad 2. It does not work, and no error message is displayed on the screen. My filco works just fine.

Damn.
