The Choc Mini's bigger brother it seems. Once again, hilarious box text which seems like they translated some forum fanboy's post into engrish. This time it seems to take shots at other mech keyboards.
7Gv2 and 6Gv2 without POM
They are brothers. Whatever they want to be the best
professional player, they need perseverance.
Mrs. BlackWidow without N-Key-USB
She is a dance-hostess. As we all know, she is pretty and flirtatious,
but she don't dance well. She is not a professional dancer.
Majestouch and Realforce without just price
They are businessmen from Japan. They make sudden huge
profits by hook or by crook.
So you want to be professional?
Choose Choc Pro, be professional.

Excellent trolling by TheNoppoo, if they come out with a white one I think I'll buy it. Though for some reason, I've never seen a white POM keyboard. Is it impossible to make white Delrin or something?
-
Clearly this keyboard is comparable to a Realforce
*coughs*
-
it does look much nicer than the mini in my opinion. the thing with white pom, is it tends to be translucent and looks like skim milk when its thin. theres a chance you would see a hint of color from the stems. i have some watercooling blocks that have white pom tops, and even as thick as they are they still have a bit of translucent milky look.
-
That sounds perfect for backlighting. The whole key would glow!
-
Hm, F5 and F7 printing looks different.
Like the keys are used.
-
In before ripster hates on the keycaps.
-
classic dish. best hangover food.
-
beef
-
anyone buy one off ebay yet?
-
OMG, that description on the box is hilarious.
-
^ Exactly. I'm still lol from reading it. lol
-
Hmm, wonder if they have it in blue switches, might grab one :X.
Whoa, that price is expensive on ebay.. Gonna see how much it would cost to get it shipped from china.
-

they do theres black brown and blues on ebay

It's likely a way better board, indeed.

Inflammatory box text with racist undertones vs oneness with cup rubber... It's a close call but I think the Choc Pro comes out ahead in this one.
-
I read Chinese, what do you need me to read?
-
That's a tough one, I'll keep an eye out, but I have never read about them complaining about OSX even for the old Noppoos, maybe because the ones that would use Mech Keyboards wont be using Apples? I'm just guessing.
I get my Chinese Keyboard chatters from PC-Waishe normally.

According to this, only "Window 7, Window Vista, Window XP" are supported. So I guess if you have fruit, demons, animals or more than one window, you're out of luck.
-
whats more then one window?
-
lol, apparently there's a "fix" for the Ducky's issues with Mac OS X which involve using a USB to PS/2 adapter, then a PS/2 to USB adapter
http://www.overclock.net/13660164-post1333.html
I'd give it a try if I had a Mac. I have an iMac G3 in the garage, but it doesn't have OS X, last I remember I think I put some kind of linux with XFCE on there.

There's a very small, very vocal and visible minority that likes Apple kit in China. But it's more a status symbol than anything else. Everyone I know personally with an apple computer also has a windows machine for "real life". Which makes sense, since you can't access most bank websites, taobao/alipay support is flaky at best on anything except windows, and lots of other little minor annoyances that are quite common in real life.
But you're "awesome" and "cool" if you have an apple product, even if you don't actually use it. Status is a big deal over there.
-
Next time, they need to diss KBC, Leopold, PFU, Mionix, XArmour, IBM, Unicomp and Ducky too.
-
It's likely a way better board, indeed.
Keep away from my cup rubber, you!
-
I'd pick one of these up just to try POM keycaps, and cuz I can't stand the Choc Mini layout :(
-
I don't care what ripster say, I'm getting one!
Anyone got their hands on one yet?
-
Perhaps another group buy? qtan said he could get Noppoo all kinds (link (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?19091-My-First-Group-Buy-for-U.S-only-collecting-advise-interest)).

What's the difference between the Noppoo Choc and the Noppoo Choc Pro ?
-
Off the top of my head, I believe the Choc is 6KRO and uses ABS keycaps while the Choc Pro has POM keycaps and NKRO over usb, but don't quote me on that.
-
What's the difference between the Noppoo Choc and the Noppoo Choc Pro ?
Choc pro is 104 layout while the choc mini is tenkeyless.
-
But he asked for the Noppo Choc "basic"
-
Choc pro is 104 layout while the choc mini is tenkeyless.
the choc mini is not a tenkeyless its a twentykeyless with the twenty less keys integrated in the other keys
-
My question was not about the mini, the mini is well documented.
There is a Noppoo Choc (without Pro or mini designation), this group buy offers all 3 of them:
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?19091-My-First-Group-Buy-for-U.S-only-collecting-advise-interest
however I haven't found any information / review on the Noppoo Choc. There's plenty of info on the other 2.

i will quote you because i'm pretty sure its right

Hm, F5 and F7 printing looks different.
Like the keys are used.
This is an Otaku keyboard for beginners.
In the beginning, the keys are labeled, and the more you memorized them, the less readable they become.
In the end it will be nearly blank!

small portion still means large population in china. some ridiculously crazy Apple fans are more annoying than Apple products, especially on the internet:)
-
True, but it is still fairly small. Students, businessmen, all concentrated in the larger cities. Admittedly, it's still probably 50 million or so, all told. But that isn't much larger than the similar group in the US.

Why not run Windows in a VM? Or dual-boot?
-
Because most don't realize they can. I suggested that to a lawyer friend in Beijing. She works for the Chinese mint. She just started at me blankly, and looked more and more confused the more I tried to explain it. I eventually gave up, and helped her buy a new Thinkpad for getting real work done.
And she's a very intelligent woman. It rather shocked me, honestly.
