So I just ordered the Filco Ninja Brown switch tenkeyless from Amazon
for $149.00 + $16 shipping (2 day shipping because I'm going on a trip soon)
and then I saw ppl selling brand new PLU tenkeyless keyboards on sites
and those look real nice o_O.. and they are only charging $70 ~ $80 for those...
did I make a bad purchase?
-
no
-
depends
-
Maybe.
After 30 days the warranty seems a bit suspect to me.
huh?
-
i was just wondering about the quality difference between filco & PLU and their warranty and such >_>
did I make a right choice by paying almost twice the price of the PLU?
-
the PLU has a problem where if you swap CapsLock and Ctrl, consecutive Ctrl (where capslock used to be) + any key sequences don't work.
-
But perhaps I digress. Your "Reason" screenname gave me an impression you might be into philosophy.
Eh I think purchase rationalization would be psychology moreso than philosophy. We philosophers don't get that far, we get stuck as to why either the keyboard or the guy that bought it exist to begin with.
I think therefore I type? Hmm. Stare not to cloosely into the ALPS abyss lest ye become one with it?

you just need to stop shaving. Like growing your playoff beard for a never-ending Stanley Cup playoff! Go Canucks!

Well look on the bright side, I have a Braun Series 7 and they don't work very well anyway. The cleaning cartridges go fast too, and the blades go dull in six months. And that's with someone who has a beard and just uses it for neck trimming!

I think therefore I type?
I type, therefore I buy. I buy, therefore I am broke.

And they laughed on irc when I said I was sick of buying keyboards...
