Title: Received Filco Ninja
Post by: canon.tk on Mon, 06 June 2011, 15:02:30
Got my new TKL Filco Ninja with browns in today.  Pretty fast considering I ordered it Friday afternoon and had them ship it 5 day.  Anyways, I really like the board and it looks pretty nice, but I noticed that 3 of the keys have a slightly different feel.

The A, 2 and 3 keys don't feel as smooth as the rest of them.  It's like the Majestouch coating wasn't applied correctly.  Visually they look pretty much identical, it's just the feel is different.

Sadly it's kinda annoying.  Hopeful I'm the only one with this problem.

Cool! I think amazon.com tend to upgrade your shipping when you buy bigger ticket items.

Ha ha.. it was till there when I got home. It's an MX Black model. Honestly liking the black switches more than I thought I would, but still they are a bit stiff. Probably going to swap keycaps with my brown. Wanted a black board and a Ninja brown, so this was a perfect way to do it :)

Is it true that they leave your packets in front of the door?

Seriously, this is imposible.

ALL THE DAMN TIME.  Which is why I almost had a heart attack when my new cpu/mobo/gfx card was left on the fudging front porch.

UPS and FedEx only do that if the shipment doesn't require a signature.

Never had UPS do it, but FedEx does. Kinda annoying

What the hell. I was hoping it was a joke!

That's something stupid. I can't imagine anybody doing this kind of things here.

The worst I've had is they stuck the item in a bag ($300 value) and hung it on my mailbox at the road.  That guy no longer works for UPS.

I have wavers at FedEx and UPS that they can leave any package at my garage door, helps that the house is ~675 feet from the road buried in trees.

Actually what I do is ship it to work, I never ship stuff to my home.  That way I know it's safe even when I'm not there to pick it up.

The ****ed up thing is that I ordered one day shipping from Amazon. So you'd think that since I paid more, I'd get a more secure shipment. Nope. Free shipping via UPS ground (3-5 day) requires a signature, whereas FedEx overnight does not.

I ordered on Friday and chose the free shipping option.  but today Amazon still says my order is shipping soon.  Something is wrong....

Not really. They take their sweet time with the free shipping option.

But they will take care of you... or do they really take care of you like Al Capone did?

wtf? it's really stupid if they just leave it there.
Here like on many other places, thieves are looking where the fedex and UPS people are moving around to check everyones new shinnies lol
If they like it, they paint your front wall with a symbol that has a meaning for them (i.e. old lady living here alone) so all the other thieves are aware and know in case they want to assault a place. And yes, having your front door painted with some strange school kids signature is pretty common here, and so it is the riffle I have on my room, just in case someone wants to mess around ^^
