my HHKB2 is very silent except for the very annoying TIC of the spacebar (stabilizer?).
Anyone know if its the same on a Realforce ? I was going to buy a realforce but I'll reconsider if its not fixing this issue.
Tks in advance,
Misery

My Realforce 101's space bar seems to be a little quieter and smoother, but not so different.
While HHKB pro has a spring and Realfoce 101 not. I think your pro2 has it too.
I found displacement of the spring causes very annoy sound. To remove or reinstall the spring might improve your problem.
Give it a try.

This question might also benefit OP.. Is there any special instuction we should know when removing either HHKB or 87ub spacebar? I mean I've removed both Filco and Ducky spacebar without any issue (thanks to ripster's guide). Is it different with the Topre?

My 101 is a cheap secondhand with some damage, so previous owner might have lost a spring.

How to remove space bar:
In my case, just pull *gently* each side of bar to unlock stabilizer(do not both at the same time),
then pull middle part like normal key. Easy.
Easy but not always :) This is a horror for Realforce owners.
