Title: Another silencing-mod for cherry MX-switches
Post by: thuNDa on Tue, 07 June 2011, 12:58:50
I just took the rubberdome-layer out of an old and cheap keyboard, http://i.imgur.com/PPF7B.jpg
cutting out the rubberdomes, and making a hole in it http://i.imgur.com/4n1hr.jpg,
just to see that it's still too thick when it sits inside a keycap http://i.imgur.com/HKTO6.jpg, so i cut something more awayhttp://i.imgur.com/7p8SE.jpg.

Now it's very silent and the keytravel is reduced alot too(i like that, because i primarily using it for gaming)

there's the whole album with more pics:

Reincarnating the buckling rubber sleeve. Without the buckling.
