Title: Different colored keyboards (and a keycap question)?
Post by: scribble on Tue, 07 June 2011, 18:18:41
How do people get those REALLY abstract designs/colors on their keyboards? Is it painted or custom ordered for ~300 bucks?

Also, i'm thinking about getting some blank PBT keycaps for my filco (the 37 key set) how much do those cost? and are they worth it? :P

This stuff, and then more complicated: that one camo IBM you included in one of your wiki articles

(this one clearly doesn't look painted though)

This seller on ebay (http://shop.ebay.com/tangxiruotxr/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562) has 37 sets in many colors for a decent price. Thier single keycaps prices are insane though. There is also some abs (http://cgi.ebay.com/Optional-Color-37-Keycaps-Cherry-MX-Switch-Keyboard-/230632602539?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b2c63bab) if you want to settle for something half the price. Seem to be the same as the kforce ones on aliexpress without the crappy pad printed legends. Otherwise there is always taobao.
