Title: ebay or Taobao agent for PLU ML-87?
Post by: Ryun on Sun, 12 June 2011, 14:17:21
Hi all,

I've just recently heard that you can get someone to shop for you on taoboa for a small stipend. I don't know much about it, so I was wondering what you would do in a similar situation.

I'd like to buy the black PLU ML-87 with Cherry MX blue switches and luckily for me there are two sellers that have this keyboard for sale on ebay. They're charging $90 for it plus $28 for shipping (EMS). Would I get a better deal going with a taobao agent?

Side question #1: Any group buys going on for this that I missed?
Side question #2: Anyone know if these are compatible with space keys from other cherry keyboards? I abhor the lettering on the space key for the black ML-87.

Thank you so much for your responses.

I paid something like $95 to have my choc mini with browns shipped from china. I'm sure the PLU with blues would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 if you got it through a Taobao agent.

It's not hard going thru an agent but it just takes longer, usually, because of the time difference.

$95 shipped or $95 to have it shipped?

I was thinking about buying 2 (one for work and one for home) so maybe a taobao agent would be better so I can save on shipping? Thanks for the responses so far.

$95 incl shipping to NY via China Post. Took 3 weeks during the period before Real New Year and Chinese New Year.
