I'm calling it now.

"Bonsoir, Vancouver."

Wow, Vancouver's goalie sucks.

When French Canadians sing "Oh, Canada" do they sing it in French?

The thought of the amount of body hair you would see if these guys wore short skirts is rather nauseating.

It's a sad day in Canada today.

Meanwhile more than half the Bruins are Canadians.

You guys are always "calling it" when you have a 50% chance of being correct. Those odds are easy-try that in Vegas (and tell Elvis hello for me).

The riots call was pretty easy because I was sitting watching them on TV.

Canadians only get excited about Hockey and .....

Let me get back to you on that.

When French Canadians sing "Oh, Canada" do they sing it in French?
Oh, yes. In fact, it was originally written this way. The English words were written later.

Checking out the details on Wikipedia, I find that the song was originally written for a St. Jean-Baptiste Day (!) ceremony in Quebec in 1880. The English lyrics used today were written by a different author in 1908.

The French lyrics mean:

O, Canada!
Land of our ancestors,
Your brow is wreathed with glorious flowers!
Just like your arm carries the sword,
It also carries the Cross!
Your history is an epic
Of the most brilliant exploits.
And your valor, in faith steeped,
Will protect our homes and our rights.

Thus, the French version of Canada's national anthem is explicitly Christian, but political correctness is only required in Canada when speaking English.

They take hockey pretty seriously in Canada.

One guy told me that he's glad Quebec doesn't have a team anymore. There used to be a lot of ugly fighting over the sport (even reporters and families attacking each other) with the Montreal fans. Lol.
