Post by: bah on Thu, 16 June 2011, 02:50:18
Hey guys. Long time troller first time poster
Some really good intel in here...

Forgive me if this is a total nubz q...  :)  but does anyone have any idea what the hell this connector is?
I wanna say some sort of serial, but that would be too easy \ don't think so, heh.

Parallel interface that some people are working on, no dice yet. If you do however, get a scope and figure it out, major props to you. :)

Welcome!

It could be this one, judging by the position of the missing pin:

kbdbabel also has a 5291 circuit diagram (http://www.kbdbabel.org/schematic/index.html).

If it's that one, it doesn't actually have a controller inside it, just a bit of decoding logic that allow the host to scan the matrix.
Title: Yeah that's probably it

Wow, that was a fast response. Haven't even gone to bed yet (6am EST)

I have the same Model F and I thought it was Game Port at first (the connector fits perfectly). However the signalling is different.
