Title: Mouse pad
Post by: SecrtAgentMan on Thu, 16 June 2011, 19:19:21
Okay so I'm in the market for a mouse pad.

Right now I have a G500 so I would like a pad that doesn't screw about with it and make it go all skippy like when doing fast motions.

The Steelseries does have some good mousepads. Check the reviews.

Steelseries are generally regarded as pretty good. I have heard great things about Func 1030 mouse pads http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=53_90_424_431 (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=53_90_424_431) and artisan mouse pads http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_n_1?rh=k%3Aartisan%2Cn%3A172282%2Cn%3A%21493964%2Cn%3A541966%2Cn%3A172456%2Cn%3A705323011&bbn=172456&keywords=artisan&ie=UTF8&qid=1308288955&rnid=172456 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_n_1?rh=k%3Aartisan%2Cn%3A172282%2Cn%3A%21493964%2Cn%3A541966%2Cn%3A172456%2Cn%3A705323011&bbn=172456&keywords=artisan&ie=UTF8&qid=1308288955&rnid=172456)

I do not think any of them are going to be significantly better or worse, more of a preference thing.

FPS people need Glock mats, or they make Sig, 1911 mats etc.

Or get a mini Persian rug.

Steelseries makes a really nice glass mouse pad. I have one and the mouse glides so smooth on it. It will run you about 40 bucks. The only drawbacks with are if you sweat a lot when you gaming sometimes your mouse wont read. The other is it only works with optical mice, not laser.
