Hi guys. I am selling my two realforce 87UB's. One is 55g and the other is variable weight. I have pics in my sig and will upload more if necessary. The shine on the spacebars in the pics in my sig are still accurate.
Both keyboards will come in their respective boxes, with alternate caps lock and control keys. The purple keycaps and clickclack keys are not included and not for sale.
I am selling because even though Topre is my favorite switch, I cannot stand the black on black any longer. I purchased a white 87key cherry red filco and even though I don't like the switch nearly as much, I can see the freaking keys when I am typing on the number row or playing SC2.
I am looking for $310 including shipping for the variable keyboard. The 55g has been sold.
feedback is here: http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?13863-jnsjr
**NOTE** - The variable force 87UB will come with the alternate caps lock and control key. It will also come with only the red escape key. This was how I purchased it.

$310 for each?
-
In regards to your feedback, where you the buyer or the seller in those cases regarding the 55g UB?
-
$310 for a USED keyboard that is $265 brand new. Hmmmmmmmm!
-
This is the 87U, they are pretty rare, and hard to come by, plus $310 is already cheaper than a brand new one.
$265 is for the 86U
-
It sure would be nice to have a 55 or 45 gr topre :) I bet the white 87U is even more expensive since they dont make it anymore? im sure that could go for 400+ at least without hesitation. 310 seems like a good price for a black though. Cant wait til i get my own topre someday :D
-
@Gamingarena - yes $310 for each, less if you buy them together.
@flaming_june - buyer.
Keep the offers coming!

you can get brand new 86U including shipping for only $270.

Do people really dont know the diffrence between the 86UB and the 87UB? I thought i was at geekhack :P
-
Yes, I know the difference. I am just saying that you can get the brand new 86U for a particular price. Whether you think it is worth it to pay more for a second hand 87U is entirely up to you.

Which is an entirely differant keyboard, sometimes I really wish we had mods so we could put an end to threadcrapping here. If thats his price thats his price, all that matters is if someone will pay it and not your opinion of it.

How is the integrated numpad working ? Is it easy to use ? Would you say it completly replace a real numpad ?
-
The virtual numpad is really good. It's pretty seamless. It's one of the main reasons I opted for the 87u over the 86u.
I would keep these boards if I didn't have such terrible eyesight. Now that I'm back from school the gf is always complaining about the light.
Blah.
-
Well, you could also just learn to touch type on them. Long term benefits are huge, short term benefits are you get to keep your keyboards.
Alternatively, replace the girlfriend. Probably cheaper to do that, anyway.
-
I'm not too bad with the numbers. I type about 120wpm average (typefacer, not fast but not slow), and nothing annoys me more than when I am typing a memo or a brief and I screw up because I get the shift keys wrong. I learned to use the virtual keyboard and now I'm super quick with the transitions. Those symbols kill me and hunting and pecking for the right one AND having to squint to see which key to hit is just too annoying. Alternatively, its given me the excuse to order and try the white filco cherry red switch 87 key board. Not as good as a topre but it will do for now.
