I'd figure I'd love to get a tenkeyless if I could have a separate numberpad, that way I have the best of both worlds, and especially since I'm going to switch into accounting, I could use one.
Update: I found one of these: http://www.bonanza.com/listings/DSI-Brown-Switch-Modular-Mac-Number-Pad-Keypad-mod-kp-br/12161580
Are they what I'm looking for? Does anyone own any of these things?

yes, plenty. Ask ripster where he got his switch try numpad from, they pop up on ebay once in a while. Also, there are the classic Cherry g80-3700 and g80-5700 numpads.
On ebay.com, look for the goldtouch ergonomic numpad, it uses cherry brown switches and pops up once in a while. One sold for 12$ a few days ago.

I hear the seller has been selling these over and over, you should pm him and see if he has any left that arent registered yet.
good luck!

That numpad has Cherry ML switches, not the nice Cherry MX that the others have.

Besides Cherry pads, there are Filco mx brown pads

Yup, Filco's num pad is great if you don't mind the price. I got one. =D

Adesso makes one with Cherry blues.

I also have the Filco number pad. For me it's okay. My favorite switches are reds and the number pad, I believe has brown switches. So if I had a choice I would have preferred a Filco number pad with red switches.

Is the Filco NumberPad PCB or Plate mounted?

I have a numpad with brown Cherry switches. Its a Kinesis.
