I'm selling a bolt-modded IBM Space Saver P/N 1391472, dated 12-09-1991, ANSI layout. I bought it 2nd hand a couple of months ago. Since I'm getting another Space Saver from Ascaii soon, I won't be needing this one.

The top cover is a bit beat up and many keys have scratches (R, D, V, ', Esc, Home, Ctrl, down arrow, Pause, etc.). I have cleaned the case superficially and the rusty spots have been sanded off of the metal plate. Membranes and rubber mat were all washed as well as the barrel assembly.

I replaced 4 or 5 springs/hammers with new ones from Unicomp. The keyboard feels excellent overall. Short cable is included in the sale.

I'm asking $200 + shipping.

This is just weird. It's a good price (by current standards) for a coveted keyboard here, yet it isn't selling. Maybe it's a shipping thing?

Or maybe it's the fact that there are nine SSKs currently for sale on eBay.  The market is currently flooded with them.  Granted this one has been bolt-modded, which many knowledgeable people would prefer to a non-bolt-modded board.

I still think these are the best keyboards in the world:

Bolt modded, tenleyless, legendary build quality, dye sub keycaps, buckling springs, known and reputable seller.  What's not to love?  Yeah, some springs were replaced, but I am betting half-saint made sure they have the same stiffness as the other keys on the board.  All those ebay ones will go for 200$ or so, and they're not bolt modded.

The keyboard is bolt-modded so you can change layout as you wish later on! :-) Hell, I can do it for you, if you're a buyer.
