Title: Where to buy a filco/leopold keyboard*?
Post by: sam113101 on Fri, 24 June 2011, 00:13:26
I was planning to buy a leopold from elitekeyboards but they are out of stocks.
There's no way I'm going to wait until july 14th.

I want my keyboard as soon as possible. I'm Canadian just so you know.
I want the total price (keyboard + taxes + shipping + customs) to be reasonable.

I wouldn't like to pay twice the price of the keyboard only because of shipping fees.
If I have no choice, I'm going to buy a realforce from elitekeyboards (they are in stock at least).

Hello,

I was in your situation once, being Canadian and all, trying to find a good price, etc. I ended up going for the realforce too just because of availability. And honestly, I just tried my friend's filco browns, and there is no comparison. Save yourself the trouble and just go for the realforce. The lack of availability might just be a blessing in disguise.

I'm also in Canada and wanted an MX brown keyboard when EK was out of everything (and was in the process of switching to Leopold).  I ended up ordering from pchome (global.pchome.com.tw).  Unfortunately the only sane shipping is via EMS and Canada Post is on strike/lockout.  (Of course the shipping comment applies to EK too).

If you have any US friends (or GH volunteers) maybe you can source one from Amazon or something and bounce it off of an American friend.
