Title: Poll: 55g or 30/45/55g Topre switches
Post by: dvanaria on Mon, 27 June 2011, 16:25:09
I know this poll has been done several times elsewhere probably, but maybe it would be good to get a current vote. For those of you who have experience with the Topre keyboards (either Realforce or the Happy Hacking boards), which key weighting do you prefer?

1. all 55g weight
2. variable weight (35/45/55g)

I first got a variable weight board and became annoyed at the sensitivity of the a and ; keys, accidentally causing repeated characters to appear on screen pretty often. So I paid extra to get an all 55g, which I loved at first, but then felt the strain in my fingers having to use that extra force to push down certain keys. I know this is being ridiculously detailed, but that's what this site is about, right?

I like my variable, never have problems with the lighter keys.  Should probly put this in the Member polls section so you can do an actual poll.

.... or all 45g? or all 30G?

The HHKB has all 45, I think its a rather good choice

Ok, I didn't know about the member polls section, that sounds like a good idea, I'll move it over there.
