Title: Looking for something like an HHKB
Post by: nick125 on Wed, 29 June 2011, 14:36:17
Hey everyone,
About a month ago, I bought an HHKB Lite 2 because I really like the layout -- and I still do. However, the keys themselves aren't working for me. I find that I have a lot of trouble using my pinky with the keys, especially the left shift. When you get locked out of your computer because you end up mistyping your password 10 times, there's something wrong -- I think it's the keyboard, since I've never had that issue with other keyboards.
So, what I'm looking for is something with a similar layout to the HHKB, but with better ("lighter") keys. I was pondering the HHKB Pro 2, but I can't spend $270 on a keyboard at the moment. My budget is under-or-around $100. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Probably the only option.
KBC Poker vs HHKB Pro 2.

I'm not too terribly concerned about the key layout being exactly the same -- I'll definitely look at other "compact" keyboards that might have a slightly different layout. I'll take a look at the KBC, although it does seem hard to get a hold of one in the US. Thanks for the suggestions so far!
