These have been going in the $55-70 range. Bought 2 off him and he's a great seller. This guy is like the comptek2wk of the standard Model M but sells 1-2 a week for much less :p
-
I got one from this seller too, they're nice and the 82g is a nice vintage of the Model M :)
-
Went for $102.50. I'm surprised this went for much more then usually considering it was a one day compared to the normal 4-5 days that go for less.
-
That's an awful lot... you could spend less on a Unicomp :P
-
Bidders got too excited at the 1 day sale... expect more 1 day sales int he future
-
The funny thing is a few weeks ago the seller had these with BIN at $75. Ebay is full of wonders

This *was* a $75 BIN with an opening bid price at $50. Poor auction winner.

Hey now, I have not sold a single board I bought from you guys, and I've only bought one. Calling me out like that, especially since it's incorrect, is NOT cool.

I've only seen theferenc sell keyboards at great prices.
hey,
just joined...hope im not impeding...but I just figured i'd shout this out: NYCE - my dad's company is sitting on a bunch of old keyboards, and before I started working here, the owner of clickykeyboards - Brandon Ermita used to buy keyboards in bulk from my dad's company. Apparently (and I can provide pictures of his old purchase orders to substantiate what I'm saying), he ended up marking them up by over 600-1000% and selling them on his website. Later found out that theferenc also purchased numerous keyboards from us only to resell them to geekhack users at ridiculous prices.
We carry in stock most if not all types of IBM Model M keyboards, clicky keyboards, ps2, etc. Give us a call, ask for me, or just mention geekhack and we'll automatically lower pricing for you.
Sincerely,
Mac

Yeah, if he is seriously trying to get customers, calling a respected member out on here like that is not gonna fly.
Sent from my EVO

I'm glad someone quoted him, since the post has since been deleted. Otherwise this would be a very confusing thread.
-
I'd also like to know the condition of the keyboards clickykeyboards bought. I am betting a lot of time went into cleaning each and every one, and that's where the real cost is.
-
Ok. I'm gonna test the guy. Let's see how much he wants for a SSK...
EDIT: Email sent.

Getting back on this one. I've sent lots of SSK part numbers. They didn't have any in stock.

I dunno about that. I saw somewhere on deskthority that he had bought a shipment (yeah, shipment) of boards from somewhere. It was from a company that had refurbished them at some point. They had shrinkwrapped them, and that made some of the springs not react like they should anymore. He responded by stealing keycaps and tossing them all into the dumpster. I'd say that there are less destructive ways of liquidating such things.
