Title: Logitech G500 gaming mouse, Best settings for 1:1 highest accuracy?
Post by: spitfire6000 on Wed, 06 July 2011, 03:10:35
what settings do you use in setpoint to get the absolute highest accuracy when using this mouse?

I have windows driver disabled.

5 speed
0 acceleration

But this makes it so that i cant use anyhting higher than like 1600 dpi or its just too fast.

Why not just use 1600 DPI?

DPI these days is basically when manufacturers unzip and say mine's bigger than yours. Pure marketing.

Don't use any drivers.

Well, you can use the drivers (Logitech drivers aren't too bad), and you've set it right in terms of speed and accelleration. Just use DPI to set your speed.

How high can you get on dpi while using 5 speed 0 accel?

I find that at 1600 it seems just right...but anything higher is too much.

I run the mx518 and my roommate runs the G500. I find with both mice anything over 1600 dpi at max speed and 0 acceleration is a bit unwielding.

I have mine at the default with acceleration turned off. I wasn't aware that the windows drivers aren't disabled with logitech drivers installed.

I would say 1620 [default cpi value for ADNS-9500].
Or any number in the Sequence of 90 - 450, 900, 1800 etc..
