I've been thinking about this for a while, but I have yet to see any pictures to see what it would look like. Has anyone done this?

These will go nicely with my soon to come Filco 87 Red.

oooh, that would like nice on *MY* Filco 87 Red. ;-)  I blame you mmmty... you were on the fence and fell off, so I couldn't help but follow.

I did buy a full function key row of clears from the last group buy.  While I can see blue (and a barely brown) through them, they don't seem quite as clear as the ones on ebay.  Though, I'm sure reds will be more visible anyway.

I bought both
But need a week shipping
The kbc set is around $30
The set on ebay is the same price
Actually the ebay sets are just prototype
Producer made 200 sets and only 20 sets can be used

Both of them are poker compatible

That seller has some interesting keycaps from time to time, but their prices are over the top in my opinion. Like their $128 starting bid on CounterStrike keycaps. $50 for ****ing Transformers keycap... terrible.

i would also like the really clear ones (not the "kbc-semi-black") but 89 is quiet overprices as the other keycaps the seller has (as The Solutor already said).

I hope we get them in the next groupbuy for a reasonable price?!

for any KBC keycaps, why don't u go for imsto..

Those KBC caps would be a good replacement for the Deck keycaps, I would think. Looks pretty good on the Poker.

Stop following me   : )  Well, at least you didn't get a black Filco 87 Red too. You got white instead. I think clear keycaps would look best with reds switchese and then blues.

I have clear WASD on my Filco Browns, I can't see the switch through 'em. Although Ripster says that they become clearer over time.

You're the one from OCN that ordered keys form Signature Plastics right? How exactly did you order them (I'm mostly confused by row, profile, size, etc)? Also, do the keys differ a good amount from the default Filco or Leopold keys?

Ignore the DCS family stuff. Row 1 DCS is 1.5mm taller than the QWERTY Filco row and has a slightly different (7-12 degrees) profile.
Row 2 DCS is 1.5mm shorter than the ASDF Filco row and has a very slightly different (2-4 degrees) profile.
So if you want clear WASD, email them requesting: ONE Row 1 Clear UEV DCS Keycap, THREE Row 2 Clear UEV DCS Keycaps. Should be $4 + $3.50 shipping.

Would be nice to see a DS keycap with colored body and transparent lettering and see how it will behave on BL keyboards.

BL keyboard are a lot now and the keycaps are nice but (presumably) not invincible or ugly in shape and look (deck/tg3 boards)

So a GB will start to be a reasonable idea...

Deck uses dye sub. Those are high quality keycaps. Individual LED lightning also. High end KB's. That font though... I had such a boner reading about the Decks until I saw pictures, almost like I paid $150 for a 20 year old blond with big boobs but got a 65 year old grandma.

i just got my clear caps from SP today. they are very nice
