Title: I always use canned air dusters for pc/keyboards...is this a better solution?

Look under the duster, at the FREQUENTLY BOUGHT TOGETHER part for 63 dollars.

I am getting very tempted to buy this thing like...immediately.

Its got 200+ reviews all 5 stars vast majority, and it basically costs the price of 4 cans of compressed air.

Supposedly its supposed to be far more powerful and do a much better job getting into the tightest areas.

The duster itself costs 40 bucks, but I think maybe I will also get the 9 dollar attachments and 5 dollar extra pack of vaccum bags.

What do you guys think? Anyone here tried this yet? It seems too good to be true...like as if it will just break on you within a month of owning it.

DataVac ftw.  It cleans out everything..  computer case, fans, keyboard, etc.  The only caveat is that it's loud! =D

it is a musta have tool for any computer enthusiast. It is no joke a mini leaf blower, infact i've used it to blow off leaves and cobwebs off my patio.

I have this duster Spit- it's a really great duster. A LOT more powerful than canned air; they also give you attachments one of which mimics that canned air little red straw (and a few others).
It's deff worth the cash.

It IS a really great duster and it IS very useful for a variety of jobs. It is NOT a replacement for canned or compressed air. Why? First of all, it gets HOT, especially when you use any of the flow restricting attachments. Both the body of the duster and the air it expels get very hot with prolonged usage, although no duty cycle is specified by Metro. Secondly, there are limitations to the amount of pressure it can generate, especially when you use the provided attachments. Compressed air, on the other hand, can be forced through a very small opening (like the straw included with canned air), allowing you to spray out nooks and crannies the DataVac simply can't get to.

Is the DataVac worth getting? Yes, because it's good for big jobs where you need a large, continuous quantity of air that would otherwise mean blowing through cans of air rather quickly. In that sense, it will cut down on the amount of compressed air you'll need to buy, not eliminate the need entirely.

Compressed air (from a can or from a compressor) and an aspirator must be used together to have the best results.

They aren't mutually exclusive.

OP, get the DataVac, but don't get the attachments. The DataVac is a blower, not a vacuum... so I don't even know if those attachments would work?

I just bought the DataVac a week or so ago based on Ripster's review and it's awesome. Highly recommended. Cons are that it is loud and gets hot fairly quickly but neither are too big of a deal.
