So I went through the wiki but all listed keyboards you can buy in the us are in online shops. I'm going to New York on 08/01/2011 to 08/09/2011 to attend the youth council. Now I would like to know where I should go on my spare days when I haven't got a full schedule to make my wildest keyboard dreams come true? Are there any mechanical keyboard shops in NY?

Thanks a lot. I'll try to check it out, if they have keyboards I'll be sure to add it to the shopping wiki. Oh and I maybe should've mentioned that if the store only carries the Razer BlackWidow then I'm not interested.

The Blackwidow is one of the very few mechanical boards that is being sold in retail stores. Even Fry's, a massive electronics store that deal in OEM motherboards to hometheater carries only the 7G, Blackwidow and one other ALPS board last time i checked.

And your point is that I should check out Fry's that is located in New York?

Yeah well it isn't much better here in Finland when it comes to retail stores. If you want a mechanical keyboard you have to order online. I'm also pretty interested in testing the ANSI layout...

the only one i know is J&R...they have a ton of items that you could usually only buy online only.
