Heh, this story made me lol.
"China might be known as the home of the fake iPhone, but what about whole stores? Surprising almost no one, China is indeed home to the fake Apple Store. These pictures from BirdAbroad (via IFOAppleStore), show a fake Apple Store complete with everything that a real Apple Store offers. Right down to the blue shirts with Apple logos and name labels for the employees. Starting from the top, this ‘Apple Store’ features a shiny exterior with a big glowing, white Apple front and center."
"Being the curious types that we are, we struck up some conversation with these salespeople who, hand to God, all genuinely think they work for Apple."
^ LOL
You can read more about it here (http://9to5mac.com/2011/07/19/chinas-fake-apple-store/#more-83982).

Gotta hand it to them.. that's a good knock off.
What's next? Fake Filco, fake Realforce? =P

Fake Filco
Dilco with Strawberry RX Red switches please.
-
so is this just a fake Apple store in that its just a computer shop that sells legitimate Apple products but misleadingly using the Apple Store name, or is it a fake Apple Store selling Apple product clones?
-
^ Judging from the story, I believe it's the former since the article didn't mention anything about the store selling knock-offs.
-
They sell Apple products.
In a store.
Forgive me if I'm frank but isn't that an Apple store?
-
^ According to the article, it's not an official Apple store. O.o
-
It technically just gives Apple more publicity if you think about it... and they're still selling legitimate apple products, meaning more $$$ in Jobs' pockets.
-
I don't get what the big deal about this is. All of Apple's crap is made in China anyways.

I have an issue with the whole economy being outsourced to china.
North America is going down the drain.

Hehe. I remember a time in Romania when 90% of all sports clothes were either Nikee, Adibas or Roiback.
Ah! Adibas. Great name!

Lol...when I was there I was like "wow, this is the country of bootlegs!" But I guess China wins the prize on this one.

No Roobk?
But, yes, living south of you, I know what you mean.

Ah! Adibas. Great name!
Here Abidas and Addas were more common, beaten only by the classic Panasoanic cordless phone.
Btw not just apple stores are cloned, even decent brands are cloned nowadays.

Damn things have changed a lot since the last time I visited.
I remember warehouses full of low quality ****ty bootlegs up to very high quality bootlegs. Amazingly, my fake Armani wallet is still holding up well.

Sometimes copying stuff just reaches new limits. These guys are not satisfied with copying iPhone designs, now entire Apple stores, obviously fake. And just add up the fact that the employees didn't know the whole thing. That was great! How was that? I have just read this article this morning here.
No wonder that China is being called as the source of fake products.
